Bac Ha

It’s been a week that I am in Bac Ha, tourists know this place by the market that is held every Sunday, especially because people down here from the villages around to sell and especially to buy, these people usually wear the traditional clothing of their ethnicity, so the market is not as interesting for its products, but rather by their colors, especially the dresses of women, because they are colorful.

When I decided to come here, I did to escape the tourist areas, because there’s also near Sapa, who apparently has spectacular views of terraced rice fields and breathtaking scenery, but as any area that becomes touristic it is more expensive and more difficult to be alone when you go to take a picture. In fact I think I was right and I say I think, because I don’t know of Sapa, and here I am world of good, I spend the days hiking, meeting people off the bat that you pull out a plastic bottle and they invite you to the rice liquor that contains (they call rice wine, but I will say that it have the category of liquor) or relax (especially after drinking rice wine).

The landscapes of this area are spectacular, also theys grown at different levels, but not only rice, actually the most abundant is corn. The good thing here is that to see these landscapes it is not necessary to hire any organized tour, is close and just have to take one of the roads leading out of the village to find you after a while in between fields and mountains.
